Privacy Policy

Kept for iPhone  ·  Effective October 25, 2026

Kept has no account and no server. Your data stays on your iPhone and is never sent to us or anyone else — because there is nowhere for it to be sent.

This policy explains how Kept, an iPhone app made by Mayhaw LLC (“we”, “us”), handles your information. The short version is the whole version: Kept is built so that your data never leaves your device. We operate no servers, keep no accounts, and have no way to see anything you track.

What we collect

Nothing. Kept does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. It contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking technologies, and no third-party SDKs that phone home. The app makes no network requests of its own. On the App Store, Kept's privacy label is “Data Not Collected.”

What stays on your device

Everything Kept uses to work is created and stored only on your iPhone (and, if you enable it in a future version, synced privately through your own iCloud account, which we cannot read). That includes:

On-device intelligence

Kept can summarize your week's journal and surface gentle observations using Apple Intelligence, which runs entirely on your iPhone. Your journal text and personal data are processed on the device and are never sent to us or to any external service. On devices without Apple Intelligence, these features fall back to simple templates, and the app works fully without them.

Payments

Kept is free. If we offer an optional tip or a paid tier, purchases are handled entirely by Apple's App Store through StoreKit. We never see your payment details; Apple's own privacy policy governs that transaction.

Crash and diagnostic data

Kept includes no crash-reporting or analytics tools of its own. If you have turned on “Share with App Developers” in iOS Settings, Apple may share anonymized, aggregated crash statistics with us through App Store Connect. This is controlled entirely by Apple and your device settings, contains no personal data, and you can turn it off in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

Your data is yours

Because your data lives only on your device, you are always in control of it. You can export everything from within the app at any time, and deleting the app removes all of its data from your iPhone. There is no account to close and no copy of your data held anywhere else.

Children

Kept is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone. Because the app collects no data at all, it holds nothing about any user, of any age.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the effective date above. Material changes that affect how the app handles data will be noted in the app's release notes.
